Jul 28    Great Minds @ Work-Connecting the Dots Between Mental Health & Your Companies Bottom Line

Great Minds @ Work
Webinar Series #4
Connecting the Dots Between Mental Health & Your Companies Bottom Line
July 28, 2016
2:00– 3:00 p.m. PDT
Presenter: Mike Hudson, Washington Business Alliance

Would your company spend $1 to get $4 back in improved productivity and effectiveness? The World Health Organization recently released a report stating that puts the cost of lost productivity and effectiveness due to mental ill-health (depression and anxiety disorders) at 1 Trillion (US) dollars annually.

Mental illnesses, such as depression, anxiety or alcohol and substance use disorders, are extremely common in America. Additionally, mental health challenges and substance abuse annually cost employers an estimated $80 to $100 billion in indirect costs alone.  The good news from the WHO report is: "every dollar spent treating those disorders leads to a return of $4 in terms of the ability to work and thus return to the economy.”

This webinar, we will explain how you and your company or a company you are working with can develop a culture that promotes Mental Wellness and help you start to recoup that lost revenue by reducing the stress and anxiety in your workforce.

After registration, you will receive email confirmation of your registration, and the webinar log-in information. If you have questions or issues with registration, please contact Mike Hudson at mike@urablellc.com; 360. 296-9066

Jul 29    Market Day
Please join Quincy's third annual Marked Day
on the last Saturday in July!

This year at our third annual Market Day we are expecting an enjoyable day in downtown Quincy. Last year's venue included food provided by ConAgra's French Fry Trailer, barbeque by Quincy Hardware & Lumber, locally made ice cream from Paleteria La Michoacana and wine tasting at Errant Cellars. Two Doors Down, Barb's Place, Signature flowers and many more hosted a yard sale and vendor extravaganza. Trendy adult and children's apparel at Quincy Valley Fashion and Plaza Bonita. Quincy cheerleaders coordinated a fundraising car-wash. This year, we also expect fresh produce from local farms and gardens. We invite you to participate! If you have produce or handcrafted or yard-sale items you would be interested in selling, booth applications are available upon request. Last year's success has the Quincy Business Association excited for another impressive year. Please bring your friends and join us in discovering treats and treasures in downtown Quincy on July 30, 2016.
